Jala is joined by Dave (Monster Dear Monster) and Nick to discuss the 2003 Bollywood action/drama/romance/sci-fi movie Koi...Mil Gaya (I've Found Someone). This is a very memorable and fun if incredibly disjointed film about a developmentally disabled man who gets into Goonies-esque hijinks with a passel of little kid friends, summons an alien to Earth, faces off with a bully Space Jam style on the basketball court, has a brief stint as a superpowered Solid Snake in a Metal Gear-style action segment, finds love and, of course, turns into a fabulous dancer because this is Bollywood. Highly influenced by Steven Spielberg, this film has a lot of familiar beats to it while featuring a complexity Hollywood films of the era would never touch.
Rohit Mehra, the main character, is one of Jala's absolute favorite characters in all of fiction.
This movie is not currently streaming in the US, but is still easily available via used DVDs on online marketplaces such as eBay.
